DIY Facebook Cover Image Art – An easy step-by-step DIY using the iPad and an App called Inkpad.

Creating your own unique art work for your Facebook cover image is fun and really easy! I created the image below using an iPad app called Inkpad, available in the App Store. Of course you can use this same technique to create simple vector art for just about anything. My Facebook cover image for my personal profile. For more information on using Inkpad and installing custom fonts to your iPad, please read my blog How To Add Fonts To Your iPad.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • An iPad.
  • Inkscape App for iPad – available in the iTunes App Store.
  • A Dingbat font from Dafont called Trees TFB by zanatlija.

I’ve created lots of Facebook cover images using the iPad but this demonstration will show you just how easy it is to create your very own. Inkpad and Procreate are my favourite arty apps. So if you’re like me and you love a little DIY, this is just the post for you! I’ve been enjoying a creative life since before I can remember. I was lucky enough to have been brought up by parents who encouraged individuality and creativity in their children and knew just how to go about it. I love the flexibility of being able to produce art and design on my iPad as well as my desktop computer. A large and varied collection of fonts is vital in any designer’s tool kit. Unfortunately fonts (or typefaces) are limited on the iPad. There is a solution though and it’s not difficult at all! I have now uploaded around 50 fabulous fonts, including dingbat fonts to my iPad and I’d love to share the method with you step by step. Here is how to increase your existing font library so you can use them when creating art and designs on your iPad. There are plenty of sites online offering free font downloads in ttf (true type font) and otf (open type font) and I’ve had success on the iPad with both font types.

There is so much to plan and pay for – from dresses to decor and everything in between. When it comes to weddings, any saving is helpful so in today’s blog I’m giving you a super easy DIY printable project using your printer and Ikea Tolsby frames (or any frame to suit the 10cm x 15cm dimensions). So quick and easy and Tolsby frames are cheap, cheap, cheap! I checked the Ikea Australia website and they are selling for a tiny $1.99 each at the moment – January, 2014.
